Frequently Asked Questions

Please email me at levinephd@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy sessions for a variety of mental health concerns, including OCD, substance use issues, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ and relationship issues.

A licensed psychologist and a licensed therapist can both be mental health professionals, but they have different education, training, and licensing requirements, and can perform distinct roles. Psychologists generally have doctoral degrees (PhD or PsyD) and receive extensive training in research and advanced assessment and diagnostic procedures to obtain such degree, while therapists, often with master's degrees, generally focus on providing therapeutic interventions and counseling.  Clinical psychologists are specifically trained to conduct psychological testing, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop treatment plans.

Most of my sessions are conducted via telephone and Zoom, but in-person sessions can be coordinated in advance.  After many years of working exclusively in an office, the pandemic has changed the way therapy can be offered in the minds of both therapists and clients. Telehealth creates a venue for powerful work that is no less effective than in person therapy. It also makes therapy more feasible and available in that clients no longer have to travel to receive quality care.

Most individual, couples, and family therapy sessions are 50 minutes long, but longer sessions can be scheduled when discussed beforehand.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not work with insurance providers directly, but I can provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

My current fee schedule is as follows:

Individual Psychotherapy Session: $300

Couples Psychotherapy Session: $350

Sliding scale available for highly motivated individuals

I accept all major credit cards, Zelle, and Venmo.
